2024 Audio Retreat Piece

Stories about rural LGBTQ+ people have long been told by those outside our communities. We believe in the power of rural LGBTQ+ people telling our own stories, in our own words, by us and for us.

These pieces were created, start to finish, over five days by participants in our second Audio Retreat, this time in Passamaquoddy territory / Washington County, Maine in the late fall of 2024. With support from OITO staff, Michele Christle, & Rae Garringer of Country Queers.

These pieces contain audio that may be challenging to hear or bring up emotions for listeners. Please take care of yourself!
